Overview:
Apple Snails are colorful, hardy freshwater snails that make excellent additions to aquariums, adding movement and interest while helping with algae control. Available in a variety of shell colors, they are active, eye-catching, and fun to watch.
Origin:
Native to slow-moving rivers and ponds across South America, especially the Amazon basin.
Feeding:
Omnivores that graze on algae, leftover fish food, blanched vegetables (like zucchini or spinach), and sinking pellets. Supplement their diet for best health.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful and compatible with most community fish, shrimp, and other non-aggressive tank mates. Avoid housing with large or aggressive fish that may nip at their antennae.
Aggression:
Non-aggressive and entirely peaceful.
Experience Level:
Suitable for beginner aquarists — easy to care for and very hardy.
